About NFSU Uganda Campus
The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Campus at Jinja, Uganda is the first-ever overseas campus of NFSU India, and India's very first campus abroad for any public academic institution. Inaugurated on 12th April 2023 by the Hon'ble External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, the campus represents a historic milestone in India-Uganda educational cooperation.
Our Mission
To assist Uganda and friendly countries in capacity building by strengthening the criminal justice delivery system through advanced education in forensic sciences, cyber security, digital forensics, and related disciplines. We aim to produce world-class professionals who can serve law enforcement, judiciary, intelligence, and security agencies across Africa.
Our Vision
To become the premier centre of excellence for forensic science education and research in Africa, fostering a new generation of investigators, analysts, and security specialists equipped with cutting-edge skills and global best practices.

Why Jinja?
Jinja, located at the source of the River Nile, is one of Uganda's most prominent cities. Its strategic location provides an ideal academic environment — peaceful yet well-connected to Kampala (80 km), the regional capital, while offering proximity to key government and law enforcement institutions in the Eastern region.
