NFSU Uganda Students Win East African Cyber Challenge

A team of four M.Sc. Cyber Security students from NFSU Uganda secured first place at the East African Regional Cyber Security Challenge held in Nairobi, Kenya.

First Place Victory

Four students from the M.Sc. Cyber Security & Digital Forensics programme represented NFSU Uganda at the prestigious East African Regional Cyber Security Challenge in Nairobi, Kenya, and secured first place against 24 teams from 8 countries.

Challenge Categories

  • Network penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
  • Digital forensics evidence recovery challenge
  • Real-time incident response simulation
  • Cryptanalysis and secure communications

The team was mentored by Dr. Ravi Prakash, Head of the Department of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. The competition was organized by the African Cybersecurity Alliance and supported by INTERPOL.
